20 August - Save the Date!!

A quick note to let you know about our upcoming event:

Dave has a significant birthday coming up (one at which life begins, allegedly) and we've just moved house, so we have two great reasons to celebrate.  We will be hosting a combined birthday / housewarming party at home in Sydney on Saturday 20 August.

We're just in the process of sorting out invitations, but if you read this blog there's a good chance you'll be getting one.  The theme is "Fairy Tale Ball".

To make it family friendly we're having a two part event:

• From 3pm for afternoon tea
• From 7pm for spit roast (anyone who came to our Gypsy party a few years back will know what that means) and dancing till late

If you think you might come in from out of town to help us celebrate, we'd be very honoured.  Let us know and we can point you in the right direction for nearby accommodation and so on (we would offer to host you here but already have family staying).  Of course we'd also love to hang out with you before or after party day.

Also, a quick update on the urgent renovations. The interim kitchen is done (apart from the splashback) and in the interim bathroom we just need to tank the floor (waterproof membrane paint) and install another mirror cabinet (Ikea, naturally).  Latest photos below.
