James was adamant that he wanted a movie night party even though we're doing it all again next Saturday for Flick's birthday. We showed a world record domino toppling clip off YouTube to tie in with the cake theme followed by his choice How to Train Your Dragon. Naturally at various points the distractions of our garden were more attractive than the movie but we think a good time was had by all. We're not sure some of the parents would agree as we handed back their cake and sweet fueled five year olds at 8:30! However, we all had a nice sleep in without early-to-rise Charlie around.
It was a fairly low key event 11 kids including the 6yo daughter of our current guests (a nice Swiss family based in Hong Kong) and excluding Charlie who was attending his BF's party including laser tag and his first sleep over!
James received an extra special present from preschool friend Zoe. Unfortunately she has started big school this year - you know what they say about girls maturing faster!
Some super space presents have been an early hit.
