Other Happenings

Our "cottage project" has been occupying the lion's share of our "leisure" time but it hasn't completely been all work and no play.  The boys are growing up and enjoy inventive play.

Charlie's robot.  I presume James had just been "exterminated" in the background

Deck chairs make for a good driving game
In early March Flick & I had the opportunity to host a table at a corporate black tie fund raiser, comprising a group of colleagues and clients all of whom have become good friends.

ASX Thompson Reuters Charity dinner - Roger, Ed, Lindsey, Flick, Karen, Kevin, Liz, Kerry (not visible) & Alastair

Later in March we took a trip back to the 80s with Roger & Karen, attending a very loud Duran Duran concert.

The boys have been invited to some great parties and had some great dress up fun.

Alexander's party

Orson's party (James in red on left)

Arielle's party (with Kerry)

Dustin's party (Charlie in blue & red rugby top with James to the right)
In July we were lucky enough to see the Conchords play at the Sydney Opera House.  A bit of a step up from when we hosted Bret after he played with The Black Seeds at the Manly Fishos.  Hilarious with a capital H!

Too many d..ks on the dance floor (easy to fix)...

Psychedelic Evil Woman

It's been a little lean on the sailing front this season but I have been out a few times.

The boys enjoy a ride in the marina's tender while dropping Dad to the yacht.

Jamie helps one of the Manly Junior sailors make a dam during the Commodore's  Picnic

Flick helped out on the barbecue

A few other memories to wrap up.

Esko enjoys a bush walk in May

Vivid Sydney festival in June.  We took the boys along one evening to see amazing projections onto the buildings around Cicular Quay and heaps of light sculptures

The tyre swing Dad made (currently off limits since the new grass went down)

The boys went to a real circus!

An adventure at the Middle Head gun emplacements
