We were lucky enough to be able to walk down to our local beach with an evening picnic on New Year's Eve, shared with our new neighbours Anna, Graham, Ben & Freya and friends Roger, Karen, Ben & Emma who also live nearby. The boys were entertained by the crowd, rock pools, glow sticks and sparklers till 9pm, when Manly Council put on a splendid fireworks display in the bay. We would have been all tucked up in bed by 10 but unfortunately James had overindulged during the evening and gave us a chocolate surprise all over his bed and the boys' room floor.
